Plein air painting from the south Rim of Grand Canyon National Park, at the Amplitheater of Mather Point. This was the first time painting here since the fires at the North Rim.
As I was painting I got to listen to an Elder speak about Fire Safety and how important it is to be Present at the park, which enables him to stand up for his peoples culture and land.
I was also approached by a woman who mentioned standing in my presence brought her relaxation and peace. When we are present with our surroundings and appreciating the beauty, it is contagious and other people can’t help but feel that energy too.
